We’re now looking for Data Engineers to build the foundations for AI and data-driven solutions in our clients’ organizations.
We’re now looking for Data Engineers to build the foundations for AI and data-driven solutions in our clients’ organizations.
Who we are
Polar Squad helps companies make tech work meaningful. We build platform solutions for engineers, help our clients get AI-ready, and create environments where technology supports real business value.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll be part of client teams designing and building modern data platforms that enable reliable decisions and AI adoption. Your work will make sure that data is trustworthy, accessible, and ready to deliver value quickly.
You will:
Build and maintain data pipelines that support both analytics and AI/ML use cases
Work with data in different forms — structured, unstructured, streaming — and design models that make sense for the client’s needs
Implement data storage solutions (warehouse, lake, lakehouse) with the right balance of scalability, cost, and security
Ensure reliability and trust in data flows through testing, monitoring, and governance
Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and client stakeholders to make sure data can be used in practice, not just theory
Support deployment and monitoring of AI/ML models, helping clients turn experiments into production-ready solutions
Be part of shaping Polar Squad’s approach to AI & Data Platforms, influencing tools, methods, and ways of working
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
Strong experience with Python (or similar) and SQL for building pipelines
Knowledge of modern data platforms: warehouses (Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift), lakes, or lakehouses
Work in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) with data and AI workloads
Experience with ETL/ELT and orchestration (Airflow, dbt, Prefect, Dagster, or similar)
Understanding of data modeling and schema design for analytics and ML
Familiarity with deploying or supporting AI/ML workflows in production
Nice-to-haves
Experience with real-time data (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
Knowledge of observability and lineage tools (e.g. OpenTelemetry, Monte Carlo)
Awareness of privacy and compliance needs (GDPR, security best practices)
Why this role matters
Clients come to us because they want to move faster with data and AI, but they often lack the foundations. As a Data Engineer, you help them build platforms that bring clarity, trust, and speed. You’ll make it possible for organizations to actually use AI and data in ways that grow their business.
What we offer
Work that matters: building AI & data platforms for companies across industries
Influence: you won’t just follow processes, you’ll help define them
Collaboration: you’ll work with skilled platform engineers, cloud architects, and advisors in client projects
Learning and growth: hands-on experience with the newest data and AI technologies
Flexibility: remote + office options, balance between work and personal life
Competitive salary and benefits
If this sounds like the right next step for you, we’d love to hear from you!
